Preservation Leadership Training: Invitation to Evolve. Hosted by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Preservation Maryland, and Historic AnnapolisDate: September 8-9, 2016 Join experts from around the field for discussions, case studies, and immersive experiences designed to inspire new thinking about historic sites and house museums. This Preservation Leadership Training ® (PLT) will explore the following key themes: Enlivening Collections and Landscapes; Interpreting the Whole Story Creative; Community Outreach and Unexpected Partnerships. The workshop includes an optional overnight sleep-over at the James Brice House with Joseph McGill as part of the Slave Dwelling Project on Wednesday, September 7. Keynote speakers include Katherine Malone-France, vice president of historic sites at the National Trust for Historic Preservation; Joseph McGill, founder of The Slave Dwelling Project; David Young, executive director of Cliveden; and Howard Zar, executive director of Lyndhurst.
