Winter Lecture Series: Mary Paca's WorldDate: Thursday, March 8, 2018 Location: William Paca House Conference Room, 186 Prince George Street Time: 10 am - 12 pm Mary Paca was born on Wye Island in Queen Anne County, into a paternal lineage with roots in southern Anne Arundel County, and spent almost her entire life in Annapolis. Elements of the three places that made up her world shaped the course of her life. By studying the fragmentary clues left in probate records, letters, newspapers, and other primary sources, in the context of similar households and women for whom we have more explicit evidence, Dr. Jean Russo will demonstrate in this lecture that we can gain a richer understanding of this enigmatic woman. Reservations required. Cost: Free for HA Docents and Docents-in-Training; $5 for HA Members and Volunteers; $10 for Non-Members.
