Yoga in the Garden III

Rise and Shine with Yoga in the Paca Garden! Join us for this special yoga series with Cathy Shaw.

This 50-minute Vinyasa yoga style class is designed for all levels and includes sequences such as sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Suitable for beginners and advanced yogis alike. Modifications are always offered and all are welcome.  

Please bring a mat, towel and water bottle. This class will take place on the tented, brick terrace of the Paca Garden. Folding chairs are available upon request for participants. Please enter though the driveway of the Paca House to the far right of the building.

Recommended for ages 8+

Cost: $20 Adults, $15 HA members, HA Volunteers, Docents, Military and Children (8-17)

Yoga, Meditation, Sound Massage | Cathy Shaw Yoga | Annapolis, MD

Cathy Shaw is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), and certified mindfulness meditation teacher with over seven years of experience guiding students toward peace, balance, and self-discovery through mindful movement, meditation, and breathwork. Finding yoga in the mid-90s ignited her journey toward understanding and embracing the essential nature teachings that now form the heart of her practice.

As a certified breathwork facilitator, iRest Yoga Nidra practitioner, and sound massage practitioner, Cathy brings a holistic, heart-centered, trauma informed approach to her teachings. Rooted in mindfulness and compassion-based practices, her classes create a nurturing environment where students can explore their inner landscapes, connect deeply with themselves, and embrace their unique journey to wellness.

Currently pursuing her C-IAYT certification in yoga therapy, and MMT (Mindfulnes Mentor Certification), Cathy infuses each practice with clarity, creativity, and warmth, making it accessible, engaging, and welcoming for all.

 

Accessibility Considerations: This event takes place in the William Paca Garden on our tented, brick terrace. Entry to the Paca Garden is via our brick driveway ramp. The upper portion of the Paca Garden can be accessed via a brick ramp with handrails. The pathways are loose pea gravel. The lower garden levels are accessed by wooden or stone steps. An indoor, single-use accessible restroom can be accessed via a ramp.
