Annapolis’s City Dock was chosen by the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) as one of the 11 Most Endangered Historic Places for 2018. Last year, a new proposal to rezone portions of the historic district allows for overscaled redevelopment on the historic waterfront, threatening to up-end the decades-long effort to protect Annapolis’s exceptional heritage. In response to this designation, Historic Annapolis is leading the discussion about working toward a preservation-based treatment for City Dock.
