Historic Annapolis strives to be a leading community resource in preserving and promoting Annapolis’s history. Along with this goal is our belief that we have a responsibility to share Annapolis's full history and to speak to the many stories of our past.

The William Paca Garden Plant Sale has been an Annapolis tradition for more than 40 years. This year, due to the fight against COVID-19 Historic Annapolis has moved the sale to the first week in June and change to a pre-order, curbside pickup format to keep our customers, volunteers and staff safe.

If you are interested in a more in-depth tour of the William Paca House, you will not want to miss the 2020 Decorative Arts Tours. Led by Curator of Collections, Robin Matty, the tours take place on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 pm throughout the spring, summer and fall.

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, Historic Annapolis invites you to follow in William Paca’s footsteps as he becomes a promising young lawyer, a Son of Liberty, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of Maryland’s first governors.

You may have seen the scaffolding covering the historic James Brice House at the corner of Prince George and East streets. Historic Annapolis is leading this significant restoration of one of the city’s most outstanding examples of colonial architecture.

The William Paca Garden will hold its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, 2020. This is the chance to take home a piece of history and watch it bloom in your garden.

This year, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon and the historic walk on the lunar surface by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Historic Annapolis is pleased to host a panel discussion on the history of the Apollo Space Program on Sunday, November 17, 2019, from 3-5 p.m.at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 801 Chase Street Annapolis.
