Revel in a music-filled afternoon as we welcome special guests the Trident Brass Ensemble, the Naval Academy’s midshipmen jazz and swing band, to the Paca Garden! A variety of jazz and big band classics by these talented instrumentalists will accompany your exploration of the garden’s terraced landscape, formal parterres, naturalistic wilderness, and practical kitchen and medicinal gardens. Music will be provided between 1 pm and 3 pm.
Included with garden admission.
Garden Admission: $5 Adults, Children and Military, and Volunteers, FREE to HA members, docents and Children 2 & under.
About:
TRIDENT BRASS is the Naval Academy’s own midshipmen jazz and swing band! Comprised of talented instrumentalists that perform a wide variety of music – from jazz to swing to rock to big band classics – Trident Brass can be seen at dances, Parent’s Weekends, Commissioning Week, and many other festive occasions throughout the year.
Accessibility Considerations: This event takes place in the William Paca Garden on our tented, brick terrace. Entry to the Paca Garden includes wooden steps or our brick driveway ramp. The upper portion of the Paca Garden can be accessed via a brick ramp with handrails. The pathways are loose pea gravel. The lower garden levels are accessed by wooden or stone steps. An indoor, single-use accessible restroom can be accessed via a ramp.
