You may have seen the scaffolding covering the historic James Brice House at the corner of Prince George and East streets. Historic Annapolis is leading this significant restoration of one of the city’s most outstanding examples of colonial architecture. You are invited to learn more about this undertaking on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, 5:30 pm at O’Brien’s restaurant.

Historic Annapolis Senior Vice President of Capital Projects, Michael Day, will present a one-hour lecture highlighting the efforts to not only preserve, but restore this colonial masterpiece to its 1774 condition. While many of the decorative features of the house have survived through the ages, the project is now conserving every original component lost or changed over time.

The lecture is followed by an optional dinner at 7:00 pm. Please note that the lecture and dinner take place on the second floor of the restaurant, which is not handicapped accessible.

The cost of the lecture is $10 for Historic Annapolis members and volunteers, $15 for non-members. Dinner (optional) is an additional $18.

Reservations are required. Please visit the Calendar of Events at www.annapolis.org or call (410) 267-7619 to view the menu options and to sign up.
