Grand Opening Celebration at the Museum of Historic Annapolis

Join us to celebrate the Grand Opening of Annapolis: An American Story at the Museum of Historic Annapolis!
We will kick off the morning with a Grand Opening Ceremony* at 10 am across the street from the Museum, then parade to 99 Main Street with the Naptown Brass Band leading the way! Following a ribbon cutting, the Museum and additional HA sites will offer grand opening activities all day, starting at 11:30 am.
*Ceremony will be open to the public and held in an outdoor tent, with limited seating.
Timed entry will be required for this event at some properties. Advance registration recommended; walk-ins will be accommodated only as space permits. Face masks are now optional at all HA sites.
Museum of Historic Annapolis

Explore Annapolis: An American Story and meet someone new at every turn. Visit with living history reenactors from all different eras throughout the building, and enjoy family-friendly activities from 11:30 am to 4 pm. You never know whom you may encounter! Several of our partner sites, like the Annapolis Maritime Museum, will be on hand with special experiences for you!

William Paca House and Garden
186 Prince George Street
Take a guided tour of the William Paca House on this special day for half price! Learn the stories of the people who lived and labored here. Stroll the 2-acre English garden, an oasis of natural beauty laid out by William Paca. Although many Colonial Annapolitans had gardens, only his garden was returned to its original splendor. Explore the new exhibit We Hold These Truths: Maryland's Four Signers and the Declaration of Independence.

Hogshead
43 Pinkney Street
Hogshead will be open from 11:30 am to 4 pm.
Take a short walk up picturesque Pinkney Street to Hogshead, where you’ll find the First Maryland Regiment, Maryland's first heroes from the Revolutionary War. Engage with the "Maryland 400" and learn their stories of bravery.

Waterfront Warehouse
4 Pinkney Street
Visit a rare surviving example of a small Annapolis waterfront warehouse from the 18th century. Today you’ll discover the model of our city, circa the late 18th century, featuring a birds-eye view of the historic landscape. Meet Nan Snead, an indentured servant, who will share tales of the waterfront and those who worked there.
