William Paca: Women and the Women in his Life
Date: February 17, 2016
Location: William Paca House and Garden, 186 Prince George Street
Time: 10 am - 11:30 am
You know something about Mary Paca, perhaps Ann Harrison, and maybe even Polly Tilghman. This presentation includes not only those three women but about thirty others, from the grandmother who remembered William in her will to the enslaved woman Paca freed when he wrote his will. Add two Tilghman sisters both named Anna Maria, five Henrietta Marias, Mary Paca Chew and Mary Chew Paca--thank goodness for Helen and Hester! We promise that no one will be asked to draw a family tree at the end.
