The Paca House & Garden will be closed for the winter beginning Tuesday, December 31. We will reopen in March 2025.

Guided House Tour:
An experienced docent will lead you through the home of William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. As you walk through this National Historic Landmark, your guide will share the stories of all the people who lived and labored in the home and garden. This admission option also includes entry for the self-guided stroll of the garden.

Tour capacity is limited; advance registration is recommended. Tours are subject to docent availability. Tickets are non-refundable.

Self-Guided Garden Stroll:
Take a self-guided stroll of this restored two-acre 18th century English garden. A map and route will be provided for you to explore the idyllic parterres, physic and kitchen gardens, and wilderness garden.

The William Paca House and Garden is conveniently located near City Dock in the downtown Colonial Annapolis Historic District. It is just steps away from a variety of restaurants and shops, and other interesting sites and museums.
Public parking is not available at the William Paca House and Garden. Annapolis offers an abundance of parking and transportation options. Visit accessannapolis.com for the most up-to-date information on parking in downtown Annapolis.
Street parking surrounding the William Paca House and Garden is residential and limited to two-hour paid parking for guests (starts at $2/hour). Please note that street parking requires the use of the Parkmobile app.

Group tours and field trips at any Historic Annapolis site can be arranged by appointment with advance notice.

The William Paca House and Garden is a Blue Star Museum, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve. The 2023 Blue Star Museums program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 2023 and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2023.
Historic Annapolis is also proud to partner with the Anne Arundel County Public Library. Through their Library of Things program, library card holders can check out a group pass that provides admission for four (4) to the Museum of Historic Annapolis and the William Paca House and Garden. Visitors must navigate several flights of stairs to take the William Paca House guided tour. A virtual tour video of the house and garden is available to view on the Paca Garden terrace or a tablet upon request.
The top terrace level of the Paca Garden and the Paca House Conference Room are fully accessible, and an accessible bathroom is available. A ramp is now available to access the second terrace level of the garden. The pathways of the garden are currently loose pea gravel.
HA is working to increase universal access by adding ramps and stable pathways in the William Paca Garden, and anticipates that project to be complete around 2026.
