Everyone knows the story of Harriet Tubman, one of Maryland’s most prominent historical figures. But, do you know the first woman elected to both Maryland’s House of Delegates and the Senate? How about Laura Petty, a migrant worker, or the girl’s robotics team that competed in a tournament in southern Maryland?
Historic Annapolis invites you to learn the fascinating personal stories of these and other Maryland Women on Thursday, March 19, 10:30 am at O’Brien’s restaurant.
Presented by historian, Jean Russo, the one-hour lecture is followed by an optional lunch.
Please note that the lecture and lunch take place on the second floor of the restaurant, which is not handicapped accessible.
The cost of the lecture is $10 for Historic Annapolis members and volunteers, $15 for non-members. Lunch (optional) is an additional $12.
Reservations are required. Please visit the Calendar of Events at www.annapolis.org or call (410) 267-7619 to view the menu options and to sign up.
